I need some help.  I've taken up the task of creating a webpage for a friend of mine.  I bought the domain here and the hosting elsewhere.  When I type in the web address an index page comes up.  How can I get just the main webpage to come up rather than the index of the page???  I made one of the links on the index page the link to what I want the page to show, but would like it to just display the page I made.  if that made sense, any help you can give would be appreciated!

Rename the index you`ve made ,Let the main index and rename the other indexes 1,2,3...etc , And change the links in the main index.
For examble:
the main page is : index.htm
next page is : index1.htm
...etc.
