You are advertising $1 per month hosting plans.

So, if I wanted to pay the whole 12 months at once, is that a $12 fee, or is there some discount.

P.S. I am close to having spent $500 for the year, so is there any further savings for me having spent $500 here?

The Web Hosting is charged by the year.  The cost for the "Starter" Package is $11.99 per year.

There is no Bulk Pricing discount for Web Hosting.  You'd only get a discount on domain names.
