How do I Modify the Site php.ini

Hi,

I need to make some changes to my php.ini. I am finding adding modules to Drupal is causing this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 64 bytes) in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/drupal/drupal/includes/menu.inc on line 3718

I could not find a how-to on this subject any where searching the community section.
