As a project i started this php-script which is far from perfect but does work pretty good if you have some knowledge of php, html, seo, and blogging or PLR articles
For example, when i was watching a movie (Couples Retreat 2009) i got the idea to search for some potential holliday, hotel, and resort domains (which are harder and harder to get these days)
So i registered it here all fine and dandy, and in the past i would just park them and never look at them again, however, it has come to my attention that putting some content on it, will enforce its domain value (when done correctly) Even better: if you turn it into a more or less relevant blogish site, you can even earn some money off it, and at least get the yearly domain cost back (my experience is that you will get more than that, in some cases even much more)
So i took a script from a similar concept and turned it into a more dynamic and adsense compatible script which turns a plain txt file into a php file with additional seo, adsense, and <h2> tags with keywords that are calculated from the articles itself, it also adds like and share buttons for facebook and google+
Features: <H2> tagged keywords, which are calculated from the articles content Proper on-site seo accoring googles guidelines A robot.txt file Adsense ads, keyword targetted and used with care to not violate googles guidelines (formats, amounts, relevance, no user forced clicking, etc.) Links to videos with relevant information, which is faily reliable Automatic generation of a Sitemap.xml Creates Like buttons, share buttons for facebook and google+ Google Analytics intergration
I dont really feel like going beyond these capabilities at this very moment, but with some tweaking this can be improved to a level that goes much farther, it does have a few minor bugs, and the coding isnt a work of art, but it does the trick and is much better then just parking a domain (with all respect to dynadot or other parking providers, its great you offer this actually, but for the more serious domain-freaks its often not much of an addition, personally i find the looks of an average parked domain not so inviting to buy)
It takes about 5 minutes to install and create such sites. For the people that would like to try it themselves, please let me know, and i will provide you with the files needed and even assist you with install if you have trouble.
Basic requirements: A domain :) Hosting with ftp access, and PHP Small knowledge of PHP Knowledge about the meaning, importance, and use of chmod or file rights. (example: 777,755,445) PLR articles in plaintext (you can write it yourself or look for them on the internet) A header image 800x300 (or 600-100 x 200-400 range still looks good when stretched)
Optional: Knowledge about Adsense usage Knowledge about Google Analytics
Just registered the domain, gathered some blogs, and ran the script over them, never looked back. Let it cook for a while.... and after some google searches, i will find that i have some good results (for such little time and money spent, and such extreme competition: 150k-350k)
Examples: (google 2nd place - with 292.000 total, competing with websites that have 1000's of times the content i have) Nokia 3720 Classic Vs. Samsung B2100 Solid
(google 18th place - over 131.000 results) nokia e88
(google 25th place - over 332.000 results) Nokia C200 Mobile Features
(google 39th place - over 311.000 results) nokia aeon price
Conclusion: A brand new domain, with duplicated content,0 pagerank, 0 backlinks, very very high competition, and 15 minutes of work, will rank with these results. Think about what it would be like if you did this every week, i could take any of the above search terms, and create 10 pages with those search terms as main focus, put some youtube videos on, the results would be 4 times better. Keep that up for a year, and you have a sick domain.
