FYI I got the following response to a support email:
Unfortunately we are currently having issues with our DNS servers. Our engineers are aware of this and are working on resolving the issue. This is the priority right now, so we are expecting that the problem gets fixed soon, that being said if you would prefer to set name servers you certainly can. Very sorry for the severe inconvenience.
