PIR, the central registry for ORG, has recently created a "Excess Deletion Fee". Basically, if Dynadot deletes more than 90% of the ORG domains we register every month, then they will charge us $0.05 per deletion. Since we offer free grace deletions, we want to avoid incurring the excess deletion fee.
From now on, we will only offer grace deletions if the deletion rate is less than 90%. If you submit a deletion, and the deletion rate is greater than 90%, then we will put your deletion on hold until the rate falls below 90%. This means that there is a chance your deletion will not process, and you will be forced to keep the domain.
