We added a new auto-lock feature which automatically locks down domains that have been left unlocked for over 15 days. This was added as a security measure to help prevent domains from being taken without the domain owner's permission. When a domain is locked, it cannot be transferred to another domain registrar or moved to another Dynadot account.
This auto-lock feature is only active if you set your "Default Transfer Lock" setting to lock domains by default. Please note that most Dynadot accounts will have their default transfer lock setting turned on.

By default, our system puts a lock on all domains for security. If you want to transfer your domain out, you have to unlock it first. However, you can choose to set your default transfer lock setting to "No" if you prefer.
