what is grace (hours)?

I just purchased a domain yuesterday and tried to transfer it to my hosting site but it isnt showing up when i go to the url. i was reading my account info and it says grace(hours) 96, what does that mean?

Be very VERY careful with grace periods. You do NOT have 5 days at it seems by the grace period count down. You really only have 4 days to be absolutely sure you get your money back right away.

It's been over a WEEK and I am still waiting to have these domains deleted and my money back. Apparently everything is on hold for me because we are at the mercy of Verisign's decision on this.

The Grace time is simply the amount of time you have left to cancel the domain name. It has nothing to do with propagation time.

Can it stop the domain from propogating at all. I think I have waited 4 days and still when i go to the domain name i keep getting errors. files are uploaded too.

Grace hours is the number of hours remaining to get an account credit if you delete your domain.
