Website help!
4/23/2008 20:29
Hi, I purchased a domain with dynadot, and separate hosting through a diff site. I set my domain to point to the right hosting, and everything should be right. How long should I expect it to take for the 2 to matchup and show my site?

Thanks!

I cleared all the cache off my Firefox, and Internet Explorer. My site works on neither, but when I take a snapshot the homepage comes up, but if I click to a diff. page on my site, the dynadotpage still comes up. It is clearly a problem with my computer/internet, anybody know what else I could try besides clearing the cache?

EDIT: I just tried clearing the cache again, and now just my homepage comes up, but when I click a different page, DD homepage still comes up.

You cleared out all the cache files from your browser?

You can always check the snapshot tool to see an un-cached version of your site:

Okay, I did all the cache stuff before, and I could view my website. But I came on today and it went right back to the DynaDot homepage, I don't know whats going on?

If they visited your site prior to the Name Servers linking up to your domain name, then its possible that they could still have the old site cached.

Thankyou so much, clearing the cache worked!

Question - will other members of my site have the same problem?

You may need to clear your cache.

Hitting Ctrl + F5 (assuming you are using a PC)

This might also work:

Towards the bottom it shows some ways to get around the cache to make sure your website is working.

What I currently see is a picture of a "Welcome to Minnesota" sign.  Surrounding it are images of a fish and a duck.  Is that what I'm supposed to see?

Anywhere from 5 minutes to an entire day to fully resolve.

Though it looks like your website is currently up.
