I have followed Big Cartel's setup to use my domain name with a shop, which has me setting up a CNAME with the shop's URL as well as a 301 redirect to add www to that URL.  But when I to test it in Big Cartel, I get this message:

"Hmm, it appears that richcollagecards.com redirects to an unexpected location. If you intend to use your root domain we recommend redirecting it to (url) and configuring (url) as a CNAME of yoururl.bigcartel.com using our instructions"

I've followed those instructions (https://help.bigcartel.com/basics/domains/other-domain-setup/) and am stuck!

I wanted to see if I could turn the forwarding off, but that doesn't seem to be allowed, either.  Any help appreciated. Thanks!

You will need to follow the following instructions to set up CNAME record in your Dynadot account:
