Point each subdomain to a different port
11/15/2010 12:17
Hey everyone.

I have a domain registered in Dynadot and have a server running multiple web services on different ports. I want to know if it's possible to create subdomains that point to a specifit IP:Port. Eg:

mydomain.com -> points to IP:80
test.mydomain.com -> points to IP:6895
test2.mydomain.com -> points to IP:7515

Is that possible?

Thanks,
Fergo

Has nothing to do with DNS.

If you have your own server, you need to configure your server to handle different applications in different ports.

Of course it is. But it would have to be done at the server level with a tool like cPanel. I am not sure how it would be accomplished at dynadot, probably the staff would have to do it for you.
