I have an existing A record. I need to change its IP address.
When I go to the Manage button and change the IP address, it gives me an error: Could not set DNS. Please set the "Email Forwarding Settings" to the "Do not forward email." option first.
I do not want to change email forwarding settings or MX records.
It looks like our live chat team were able to help you out with this, but if anyone comes across the same problem you would need to set the Email Forwarding settings for the domain to "Not set" before editing the DNS settings. If you have an MX record set in the Email Forwarding settings it should be carried over to the DNS settings automatically. To change your email forwarding settings you would just need to follow these steps:
Log into your Dynadot account. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Manage Domains" in the drop-down. Check the box next to your domain name(s) and click on the "Bulk Action" button. Choose "Email Forwarding" from the "Bulk Action" list. Change the drop-down menu from "MX Records" to "Not Set" Click the "Save Email Settings" button to save your changes.
That would then allow you to edit the DNS settings.
