need some help -- my domain violates a policy?
2/12/2008 20:59
i recently recived an email stating --

"We recently received a complaint that your domain, project-7.net, is involved in illegal activities (hacking, for example).  While we thank you for your business, your website on project-7.net violates our Acceptable Use Policy in our Service Agreement (Part 1, Section 7).  Please consider transferring out your domain to another domain registrar soon."

however this is untrue

in this case the term Hack refers to a program compiled from multiple source code snippets and is in fact used for nothing illegal. It is more correctly equivelent to cheats.

hacks are rather a "nick-name" of Game Cheats and such, do not know where to respond to this email so i thought i would make a post here.

Hello,

Dynadot's Service Agreement (stated Part 1, Section 7) isn't only limited to hacking, you should read it completely

BTW justifying your site only having game cheats isn't true, your site contains complete forums of Warez and Pron. You are involved in illegal activities. So, Dynadot have right to delete (or take some action against you)

See the agreement below (Bold sentence will help you read better)

You further agree that Dynadot, in its sole discretion and without liability to You for any resulting loss or damages, may delete, suspend, cancel, terminate, or otherwise interrupt any and all services You may purchase through Dynadot, or Your customer account with Dynadot, at any time during the term of this Agreement, if such service or account is used in association with morally objectionable activities.

Morally objectionable activities include, but are not limited to, the transmission of unsolicited mail or "spam"; activities prohibited by the laws of the United States and/or foreign territories in which You conduct business; activities that promote unlawful behavior, such as hate crimes, terrorism, or child pornography; activities that are designed to or that effectively defame, slander, harass, embarrass, threaten, abuse, or harm third parties; activities that impersonate the identity of any third parties; activities that are harmful to minors in any way; activities that constitute fraud or that have a fraudulent purpose; activities that are designed to or that effectively infringe upon the copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights of a third party;

Do you make warez available for download from that domain? That might be what's upsetting them.
