Getting Multiple webpages on the one DNS
12/14/2012 02:20
okay, so at home on my router i have multiple ports being forwarded onto my public IP.

now, what i wanna do and not being able to, is have the DNS portion translate the public ip into a dns name. for example:

PublicIP:portnumber/gui    -    192.168.1.0:2000/GUI
                                ^ i know that's a private address, only an example :P
to example.domain.com

Without using the "Forward" Function, what other options do i have to do? i really don't wan't to be typing in the Port number.

anyone else had a similar problem and was able to resolve it on there setting on dynadot or router?

I'm sorry but I know of no other way to do it.  With DNS, you cannot specify a port.  You can only specify a port using a URL, leaving forwarding as your only option.
