Hello,

I'm looking to extend the amount of time that my domain name is registered for.

On the page https://www.dynadot.com/account/domain/name/edit.html?domain_id=3041952 it gives me the option to 'Renew Domain'.

Will undertaking this option directly alter the expiration date as shown on the same page, or will it be treated as a 'prepayment' for when the domain expires (and thus creating a new registration)?

That is correct.  Your registration will be extended, your creation date will remain the same.

It will directly alter the expiration date.
