I want to transfer a domain to Dynadot, but the current registrar seems reluctant to correct the registrant e-mail address, even though I've updated it in the account settings at that registrar.
Can the transfer be authorized by the whois administrative contact instead of the whois registrant (both of whom are me)?
I'd seen those FAQs, but when I submit a transfer order Dynadot sends mail only to the registrant e-mail address and not to the administrative contact.
As for waiting 24 hours, it's been more than a month. Need I say that the current registrar is NSI?
Make sure the email address listed as the registrant or admin email address is an email address you have access to since all ICANN-accredited registrars are legally bound to send the transfer authorization email to that email address.
13. How do I transfer my domains away from Dynadot?
Sign into your Dynadot Account.
1. Check if the domain is unlocked. If not, unlock it. 2. Check if the Whois info for the domain is current. Your new registrar will be sending an email to your admin email address to confirm the transfer. 3. Save the Auth Code for the domain. You will need to tell your new registrar the new auth code.
