domain transfer auth code
3/27/2007 17:17
I have been trying to transfer a friend's website to Dynadot for a few weeks now -- the transfer is being denied because of an invalid auth code.  I was under the understanding that .com and .net transfers don't need auth codes, and indeed the old registrar (who I have no contact with) says they don't need to provide them for .coms and .nets.  Who's right?  In the meantime I tried using a bunch of zeros but obviously that didn't work.

Before COM/NET did not need auth codes. But now they require an auth code. Without the auth code, it is impossible to start the transfer.
