I registered my domain parisseawell.com about 2 years ago, along with paris-seawell.com
I mostly used the hyphenated one because the S's together didn't look right, but I forwarded it from there, just in case.
Unbeknownst to me, the first one was not on autorenewal, and managed to expire without me knowing! (the email alerts went to an old email address, I thought it was on auto..)
Today I was flicking though online and found http://parisseawell.com/ to be a blogger account, mostly full of ad links and spammy behaviour..
It was re-registered through dynadot and there is no contact information on there, although I reckon I'd be offered thousands of dollars to buy it back...
Now I know it's my mistake to start with, but is there any way of disputing the rights to it? it's most definitely a land grab. I know i never really used it but.. It's my own name! who wouldn't want to keep that safe?
I thought about going through the copyright complaint form of dynadot, but it sounded like I needed a physical copyright.
If anyone out there can offer some help I would be very appreciative!
We're certainly sorry to hear that you lost a domain that was important to you. Unfortunately, without a trademark, you would have to reacquire the domain with the cooperation of the new owner. You have no legal claim to it.
The domain, parisseawell.com, was recently sold in our expired domain auctions. The Whois will reflect the new owner's information beginning September 25.
