Domain expired & can't renew
11/2/2011 05:38
I had a domain on dynadot for the last 2 years and I wanted to renew it for the 3rd year but I faced some problems with my bank. Thus I couldn't pay and the domain expired..

Now all problems are solved and I wanna get it back so I went to Inactive Domains on https://www.dynadot.com/account/domain/inactive.html and Restore it.. I expected to pay the amount of the renewal but it says that I have to pay $99.99

Little expensive?

A domain is only moved to the inactive domains list after it has been deleted from our system.  In the case of an ME domain, that happens 40 days after the domain expires.

Once the domain is deleted, the central registry charges us more to get the domain back.  We have to pass that extra cost on to our customers.

Your other option is to wait until the domain is released back to the public.  That should happen about 35 days after the domain was deleted from our system (or 75 days from the expiration date).
