Change Nameservers to Dynadot During Transfer
12/1/2011 08:27
Hello -

I'm changing registrars from GoDaddy to Dynadot.  However, I have been using GoDaddy DNS, and will need to switch to Dynadot DNS.  Is there a way to do that during the transfer process, so that as soon as it transfers it has the new nameservers at Dynadot and with the DNS set up?  Otherwise when it transfers it will still point to godaddy nameservers, which will no longer be valid.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, you'll just have to wait until the transfer completes.  At the least, GoDaddy is one of the companies that is pretty quick about transferring domains, so you should be able to start/approve the transfer/complete the transfer and make the DNS changes all in one sitting.

Basically, once the transfer is initiated, log into your GoDaddy account to approve it.  That should move it almost immediately into your Dynadot account.  Log back into your account here and make the DNS changes.
