Need answers about MAIL and DNS SETTINGS!

Question #1:

So as a DNS user, if I purchase your basic host package at $11.99yr, will I just be able to use the mail settings ONLY - if I don't want the host settings????????????????????????????????????????????????

Question #2:

If I transfer my domain to another provider so I can get email, can I still use Dynadot DNS?
