You Ripped Me Off

Thru no fault of mine, I paid for this domain name and now you have taken it away from me, because the seller used fraudulent funds. What does this have to do with me?? This is the letter that I received.

We have removed the domain webhost1.com from your account due to the previous account holder paying with fraudulent funds. Best Regards,Dynadot Staff(account gilly)

How do I get my domain name BACK!! I have plans for this domain.

I got my domain name back, thank goodness. :D  But it is an awful situation to be in.

You just have to make sure that you keep any links to where you bought a domain from and when you pay for it, type in the box, what you are buying.

Could this thread be closed or deleted please. Thank you.

i don't know the laws for domains, and i'm a little foggy on most of them. that said, here's what i have heard. in general, if you own property that you paid for , but was previously stolen, it's not your property.

example that most could relate to:

you own a rare picasso painting, someone steals it from you. you locate it years later. is it your picasso or the poor sap who paid for it.

If I were you, I'd contact the person who was paid with fraudulent funds and see if you can work something out.

I agree you were ripped off. I agree dynadot might be able to help you out, but they are not the ones who "Ripped You Off"

Sorry for your pain, and agreee, that's a good domain name. I might try and get it (just kidding, but you might be careful, someone else reading this might).

Good luck to you / Break a leg, which ever you prefer.
