WHY: "buy" lock status ?

I recently bought a name on the marketplace to resell. However, it seems I can't do that because DynaDot sets a 60 day "buy" lock status on it. Very bad, and no reason for this nonsense.

But your auction lock is now only 15 days.  This marketplace buy lock is 60.  I would never have purchased anything through the marketplace if I had known it was 60 day lock.

60 days is way too long.  Especially for low level purchases.  Now I cannot do ANYTHING with the domain.

It would be nice if you give customers with proven track records the option of less lock, or the option to fund it in a way that can't be refunded (e-check?).

We place a buy lock on domains sold through our Marketplace as a fraud prevention measure.  This is the same reason we place a lock on domains sold through our Auctions.  

Imagine what would happen if someone used a stolen credit card to buy a $500 domain you were selling through us and we didn't have a lock.
