I've always purchased the privacy protection, and just did a search for my name on Google. It came up with a website that tracks whois records and reports that "MyFirstName MyLastName c/o Dynadot Privacy owns these five domains: ..."
Not cool.
How about hiding the name too?
I've been using another domain register lately to buy Canadian domains, since Dynadot doesn't sell .ca domains. With a Canadian domain, the only information shown on whois are nameservers -- that's it.
I have a couple websites which I'm running where I prefer being recognized by a pseudonym. And having my name slapped across Google, linked to all the other domains I own, ruins EVERYTHING.
i agree ! it is not real protection if it reveals my name in whois, no use of purchasing privacy protection. i see other privacy services not showing owner names. i hope dynadot makes changes to this, otherwise i will move my private domains to somewhere else.
