Websites Down Again

Come on Dynadot - why are websites down yet again?

They have been down for hours now - as of 16:26 Monday (CDT).

Your downtime over the past few years requires some explanation. It seems to occur again and again, year after year - where is the built-in redundancy we perhaps should expect?

Do you have any stats about your uptime over the past year? If so, please publish them here - if you don't have such stats or don't want to publish them, then why not?

Hello,

We checked our settings and it appears our servers are running at full capacity.  We're also able to access cPanel.

If you're still having trouble with cPanel, please send an email to [email protected].  There's a possibility that you're IP address may be blocked, which is preventing you from accessing it.

Best Regards,
Dynadot Staff

You need to fix this...

Websites are down again, as well as cpanel login.

What actions are you taking right now to solve this problem short term and long term?

Hello,

We were experiencing DDOS attacks on our server, which is why some websites were loading slowly and some were completely offline.  Our engineers located the account causing the attacks and have disabled the domain.  The issue has now been resolved.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us via email at [email protected] and we'll be happy to assist you.

Thank you so much for your patience.

Best Regards,
Dynadot Staff

Here's the explanation from Dynadot -

Looks like we are experiencing an ongoing DOS attack :( Our Basic Hosting, forwarding, and stealth forwarding are being affected. Expect slower load times. Our engineers are working hard to fix this issue. We apologize for this any inconvenience this may cause.

I have not received any notice that the site was down.  I just realized that it is, indeed, down.  Any word on why and how long it will be before it is back up?
