Someone is sending emails to Dynadot customers trying to get our customers to go to a website and download an .EXE file. These emails are not from Dynadot and we encourage you to forward the emails to us and then delete the email.
The text of the email is as follows:
Dear user of the dynadot.com mailing service! We are informing you that because of the security upgrade of the mailing service your mailbox ([email protected]) settings were changed. In order to apply the new set of settings click on the following link: http://dynadot.com/owa/service_directory/[email protected]&from=dynadot.com&fromname=tena Best regards, dynadot.com Technical Support.
Hello. Our domain name sprotiv.org is blocked by you at 17/10/2009 There was important Ukrainian political newspaper on that domain name!

Also sprotiv.org was under DDOS from 12 to 16 october.
WHO did sent you spam complaints about this domain??? WHY DO YOU NOT RESPOND TO OUR EMAILS???!!!

We were threatened by anonymous persons by email after you blocked the domain! They said that our new domain names (if any) will die the same as sprotiv.org.
PLEASE UNBLOCK (ENABLE) OUR DOMAIN IMMEDIATELY AND REPLY! WE WAITING FOR YOUR REPLY!

No I have not received any of such emails yet, but I shall forward them onto you should I get any.
It sounds very sus for them to get you to download an .exe file.
While .exe files have their very important uses, (I still can not live without the 30 year old gwbasic.exe for my programming) .EXE files are (I believe) the very core of malware.
I am not sure if malware are always in the form of an .exe file, or what. Could someone fill me in on this techinal issue.
P.S., may I say that I very much plan on ditching windows as an operating system, and by thus shall remove me from any risk of malware. (I believe)
