Why would you make your price to transfer a domain from another registrar to yours more expensive than registering a domain that is available? Wouldn't you like to motivate customers to bring their domains from other registrars to your service? This doesn't make any sense to me...

The Registration and renewal price you currently see is a sale price.  

Once the sale ends, the prices for new registrations and renewals will go back to the regular price, which is $9.75 per year.
