Suggestion: Configure a domain while transferring
1/18/2009 07:28
I would like to see the following enhancement at dynadot.com.

1.  I am transferring a domain here, lets call it, transfer.tld.

2.  This will take up to 6 days to process until it occors (mostly waiting for the previous registrar to release the domain to dynadot.com)

3.  I would like to configure transfer.tld (mostly its nameservers) so very shortly after it transfers, dynadot then sends my configuration to the proper top level domain servers.

Right now, I can't configure transfer.tld, until finishes being transfered to dynadot.

4.  This way, my domain will be configured as soon as it transfers; instead of a few hours it transfers (when I receive the email & am at my computer)

When you add it, can you also make it available for Batch Mode -- or globally change all domains? That would be of great help to me.
Thanks

I'll add that to our features request list for you.

Name Servers will be imported to Dynadot. In case you are using your previous registrar's Name Server, you need to change it to another Name Server to make sure there is no interruption on the website during the transfer process.

But the Whois contact will not imported. Dynadot's system will use Default Contact as your Whois for every new domain name (by register or transfer).

if im not mistaken, and please someone confirm me on this, if you configure your domain properly at your previous registrar, whois information and DNS, that same data is imported in dynadot when your domain gets transfered here
