SMS problems -- not getting Test text messages - Help
8/4/2009 02:42
Hi I am setting up special security for my 125+ domains and tried to get into the SMS setup. I am not receiving any test message at all -- leads me to believe I have selected the wrong AT&T service, but none relate to the service I have. How to get this fixed ? I am not happy with the birthday quesion because anyone can find a person's Bday (-: So what to do?

It could be that your carrier changed their format.  If you ever are unable to receive the SMS, you can submit a "Lost Cellphone" request to get the feature disabled.

Help! I lost my cellphone or serial number! How do I change my Google Authenticator or SMS settings?

If you lost your cellphone or cannot access your Google Authenticator app, you will need to get your settings reset.
If you can not log in at all, On the login page, once you have entered your username and password, and the screen loads to the code page, you will see "Lost Cellphone" under that.

Inside your account here is how to submit your reset request, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Dynadot account.
  2. Select "Security" from the "My Info" drop-down menu.
  3. Click on "Unlock Account" button.
  4. Click on the "Lost Cellphone" link on the new page.
  5. Enter the answer to your secret question and provide any additional information below. Please note that your secret question must exactly match what you entered when you created it.
  6. Click on the "Submit Request" button to submit your request.

A Dynadot team member will review your request before updating your Google Authenticator or SMS settings. We may contact you at your account email if we need you to provide additional information.

Resurrecting this old thread.  I am not receiving the account lock SMS.  I recall setting it up and testing it with this phone but now that I need to access it I don't get any messages.  Maybe the carrier has changed format or flagged domain?

The SMS messages we are sending are bouncing.  I've sent you an email about this, could you please reply to that email?

If the SMS messages are bouncing, the SMS email format we found online maybe outdated or incorrect.  We need your help to figure out what the correct SMS email format is for every carrier.  Some carriers do block SMS emails entirely to prevent SMS spam.
