Slow Response on Hosting Technical Support
5/9/2011 12:10
Did I make a bad thing to leave HostGator and start to work with Dynadot Hosting?

I have been writing urgent support emails for 5 hours and my problem hasn't been resolved yet. Please dont remind me your working hours because this 5 hour period is in your working hours interval.

Our problems:

A-) We can not create addon domain for some of our domains We are getting this error:

Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs: 207.58.181.117,207.58.181.116 Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.

B-) We need 2 UNIQUE IP address for our Hosting. Are you supplying unique IPs for the advanced hosting?

C-) Is there any problem with your email servers? When we use mail.sitename.com as POP3 mail address, it is not working. We have to use the IP  address to make it work, why? Any problem with your email servers?

Hello,

We do not supply individual unique IP addresses with our hosting service.  We are strictly a shared hosting company.

If a website is blacklisted, it is possible that all sites under the hosting company may be offline. However, it depends on Google's policies and procedures. For instance, we don't know if they strictly block IP addresses or just block domains.

If an IP is blacklisted and a customer's site is effected, through no fault of their own,  we will migrate the site to another server.

I hope you feel we have completely addressed your concerns.

Best Regards,

Dynadot Staff

Okay I have one question which I was asking and I haven't got the answer. Could you please give me a reasonable reply?

QUESTION:
You are not supplying/selling individual unique IPs for your hosting services. I am using advanced hosting and my all websites naturally are in this host.

If a bad scenario happens which is if one website of a person on dynadot advanced hosting is blacked list by Google or any big authority on the net, then our all websites are in danger!!! Right?

That's why I insist on asking this question because one common IP can be a risk anytime!

What is your risk management against this case/scenario? What is your plan to prevent this?

I am waiting for your reply please. This is important!

Regards,
Customer

Hello,

We have sent multiple responses to your emails.  Sorry that you are not satisfied with our answers.  Nowhere do we say we offer 24/7 technical support as you continue to claim we  have failed to provide.  We answer all emails in the order received, so if you are writing on Sunday night / Monday morning, there may be a delay in your response as , yes, we are a small company with a small staff.

As far as a response to your individual questions,  please see the emails we have sent to you on the subject.

Best Regards,

Dynadot Staff
