Scheduled maintenance of 12 hours

So Dynadot was down for 12 hours because of this scheduled maintenance. Why there was no information about this scheduled maintenance? If it was really scheduled why us customers was not informed in anyway?

We didn't get any information during this 12 hours. Then suddenly Facebook and Twitter was flooded with responses like "we are working on it". After those messages the site was up and running under 1 hour.

I hope that it isn't the case but it does really seem like that staff was just starting the day and woked up to see that the server was down and then started to work with the issue. But I hope that this wasn't the case and the staff was working on the issue for 12 hours so intense that they couldn't spare the time for to give information for the customers about what was going on.

I would really like to know where I can see information about these maintenances and where I can see when they are scheduled so we can prepare.

It wasn't actually scheduled maintenance, but technical difficulties.  The site is online now,  but we are still investigating the root causes.  We are very sorry for the inconvenience and will be working to ensure the error does not occur again.
