We have not paid out August, and it is already more than a month late. I know you are all very frustrated, and I completely understand.
Here is what is happening. Our parking provider, DomainSponsor, adjusted our account for $2400 for the month of August. That means that they determined that there was $2400 worth of click fraud in August.
However, they have not been able to tell us which domains they adjusted. So we have no way of knowing which domains to debit on our end.
We have made countless requests to get the data. They have been unable or unwilling to give it to us. We will make a final attempt on Monday. If we cannot get the data, we will just credit everyone as is, and eat the $2400 loss.
I am extremely sorry for the delay. I assure you that it is not because we do not have enough money. We are financially stable, and growing rapidly.
""Your Dynadot Account balance has been credited $35.00. This credit is for the parking revenue generated using our Revenue Parking Service from Aug 1, 2007 to Aug 31, 2007. You can use this credit towards any future orders with us.""
Perhaps if people didn't try to game the system and steal money from others this wouldn't be a problem.
My suggestion is to not rely on DomainSponsor for the data .. implement your own to spot click fraud and kick the a$$holes who are stealing everybodys money to the kerb.
How hard that would be I don't know but I'm sure there is a way of collecting IP info by inserting a PHP IP collector into the headers of ALL your parked pages .. 3 identical IP's clicking on the same ad or page should raise the alarm.
Maybe use cookies as well to make sure.
I would also make it part of the terms and conditions of your parking service that those caught defrauding the system will forfeit their rights to an account at Dynadot and will also lose the rights to their domains registered here. Implement it so they have to acknowledge they have read such terms and conditions and therefore have no recourse should they lose their domains and account.
