I'm wanting to delete my domain, However it says i have to renew it before i delete it, what's the logic in that?

I've deleted a domain before. And the only thing that happens is that it is put in a delete pending status which takes a couple of month to actually delete. It's nothing that Dynadot has control over. So, my question is, why do you want to delete your domain? It won't instantly become available again, if that's what you are hoping for.
