domain privacy

Why does dynadot's domain privacy still list the registrant's name in "whois"

The other two registrars I use do not reveal a person's name if he or she has purchased domain privacy.

Why does Dynadot not do this?

Hello,

How do I generate a new auth code for my domain?

In most cases, you shouldn't need to generate a new authorization code for your domain just to transfer it. However, sometimes if there is an issue with your transfer, generating a new auth code can help solve the issue.

  1. Sign in to your Dynadot account.
  2. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Manage Domains" in the drop-down.
  3. Click on the domain name you want to transfer (it should be a link).
  4. Scroll down to the "Authorization Code" section.
  5. The auth code which is a unique string of random letters and numbers will now be displayed in the "Authorization Code" section.
  6. Press the "New Code" button to generate a new authorization code.

NOTE: If you are in the middle of a transfer, you will need to update your pending transfer with the new authorization code.
