Either I completely missed the instructions to something so simple (supposed to be) but how does dynadot let you know a domain you put on its watchlist is now available?
I ask because I was putting some domains on the list, which I have used for several months, and happened to notice that one of my domains I'd wanted a while back, was listed as not being registered. WHAT? So why wasn't I told it was available?
Secondly, HOW does this "watchlist" actually supposed to work, in the first place? Is is ONLY for domains registered to DynaDot -- or everyone else, like GoDaddy?
How about some info -- and answers this year, please :-)
Yes, you are right about the understanding of 'drop'. Our system will automatically notify you any changes about the domain so you will be informed of the changes via email. You are welcome to use Godaddy watchlist at the same time.
For the domain renewals, the elements to decide a price of a domain are really complicated. Sorry but we are not able to provide professional advice on it.
OK. My understanding of "drop" means the domain is about to enter public availability, no matter the registrar it is come from, ie expired. Correct? But I do not want to "wait in line" for others. Should I get onto Godaddy's Watchlist, being that the domain I want was registered there, but dormant for the past year?
ALSO how can I avoid alerting the current owner of my intention, prevent him from renewing to jack up the sales price?
Thanks for your alacrity in responding. The missed domain in question is: אדם.com (xn--4dbg4a.com).
Secondly, my 2nd question -- how does the Watchlist work for domains which are or will be expiring from another registrar, specifically GoDaddy? I am waiting for something to drop from expiration sometime in July. What is the best thing for me to do? Thanks.
If you add domains in the watchlist, we will inform you when the domain enters our domain market(expired auctions, marketplace and backorders/drops) through email. And if the domain is not registered, it will show as "no" under the "Is Registered" columm. It works for all the domains. We will be happy to take a further investigation if you would like to tell the exact domain name.
