Hi,

just tried to backorder a .org domain.
Added the backorder request about 3 days ago, checked this morning (as it was to expire at 6am GMT).
But dynadot shows it as still waiting to expire even when pir.org, the main registrar for .org says it expired already?

So, is it possible that where is a timing problem? Its 9:30 GMT right now but I think dynadot is thinking that the domain is expiring 6:00 PST instead of 6:00 GMT. Or is pir.org listing a domain as free qhich is not free yet?

Well, a bit of drop times should not be about 8 hours.
But okay, it worked even if the information during the processes were either wrong or they were right and I was just lucky.

As far as I know, there is always a bit of a variable when it comes to drop times.

yes, it worked but it also did not happen at 6:00 PST but around 7-8 PST.

Do you know why pir.org already marked the domain as ready to register?
Or are they just eary?

We try to catch .ORG domains when they drop at 6:00 PST. Looks like we were able to grab the domain for you and it's now active in your account. :)
