NameServer Problem
1/24/2008 10:40
Hello,

I registered a domain 24 hours from my account. I registered this domain for my VPS. I have registered 2 nameservers & pointed them to IP's & pointed my domain to those nameservers.

Now, i check "Whois" of my domain & it has been pointed to nameservers but still my site is not opening. Then i checked "IP Lookup" of my domain. Its showing:
=============
ns1.m*****z.com
       m*****z.com
No response.
www.m*****z.com
No response.
ns2.m*****z.com
       m*****z.com
No response.
www.m*****z.com
No response.

IP Status of m*****z.com
       Name Server Unreachable - one or more name servers for this domain can not be reached. Please contact the admin for the name server.
==============

Also, On Summary page. In that domain column. There's a new section "Grace (hours)" with 93.29 value.

Please tell me what going on here? How much time will it take to get pointed to my VPS ?

Waiting for your response!
Regards,

The "No response." message means that your name servers are not responding to any web requests and appear to be offline.

We checked the domain you registered recently and it appears that the name servers are online, however, they have not been configured to serve your domain.  You need to add your domain to your name servers' domain list so that they will accept web requests for your domain.

What are grace hours?

Dynadot is one of the few registrars that supports domain tasting also know as grace deletions. Most domain extensions support grace deletions and most give you up to 118 grace hours to submit your grace deletion. You can see the amount of grace hours each domain extension offers on our Grace Deletion page.

You can see the amount of grace hours left for your recent domain registrations by logging in to your Dynadot account and going to "New Domains" from the "My Domains" drop down. There you will see a table that lists your most recent domain registrations (from top to bottom) as well as the amount of grace hours left for each of those domains under the "Grace (hours)" column.

If you are planning to grace delete your domain, you must do so within the grace hours given for that domain; however, some domain extensions also have a maximum rate of deletion, which limits the number of grace deletions relative to the number of registrations. For this reason, even if you submit your grace deletion request within the grace hours of your domain, there is no guarantee you will be able to successfully grace delete it. If you are successful in your grace deletion, you will receive a refund in account credit minus any deletion fee.

Grace domain deletion may be useful, for example, if you misspelled the domain name you wanted to register or you decide that you want to register a different domain name.
