DNS settings problems

Our domain name points at our SaaS membership system host; we also have email provided by Google Apps.

Currently email coming out of the SaaS system carries an incorrect 'from' email address.  To remedy this, our supplier has told us to make these settings:

 (1) point www CNAME to sites.wildapricot.org
 (2) point A-record to our IP 66.29.208.61
 (3) add an SPF TXT record: v=spf1 mx include:wildapricot.org ~all

Obviously, we also need to retain the Google settings on email. and in the SPF TXT record.

Every attempt I've made to include the www CNAME has failed to save, offering a variety of reasons depending on what I tried.

How can I make these settings while retaining the Google Apps settings on the domain?

We didn't receive any errors when trying to set the CNAME for the "www" subdomain. Can you try again and send a screenshot of the error message you receive to support@dynadot.com?
