Slow email send and receive

New to your service. I'm using Thunderbird. Both POP3 and IMAP transfer rates are extremely slow. A 9MB photo takes almost 10 minutes. IMAP is unusable. Using the same program, Thunderbird, Gmail and my ISP's mail are blazingly fast. Didn't have this problem with my last provider Godaddy. Steve
