I read around some web hosting forums about how domains are going to be a bit more expensive soon?

Is this true?

We will be raising prices in about 10 days from now. An email will be sent out on Friday (October 12th) with more details about the price increase.

I received notification from namecheap that they are raising the price on Sunday, October 14, 2007. Com, net, org, info & biz new pricing are $9.29 per year.

Yes, it's true. But it's only a little bit. This upgrade is going to take effect in 15th October I think.
